چکیده

Potato is an important noncereal staple crop serving as a source of food for large number the world?s population. Genomewide association study (GWAS) analysis has become useful tool to uncover genetic basis plant traits by revealing significant with trait interest. The present aimed explore phenotypic diversity and identify associated floral traits. A total 237 tetraploid potato genotypes were used material, field experiments conducted according augmented block design two consecutive years (2016, 2017). Analysis variance studied reflected highly genotypic effects. Mean data both revealed variation pistil length (5.53 9.92 mm), stamen (6.04 9.26 above (1.31 4.47 mm). Pearson's correlation positive (r = 0.42) 0.28). Principal component was performed, first PCs considered accounting 81.2% variation. Constellation plot divided panel into main populations on length. 12,720SNP markers marker-trait association, 15 found significantly across years. Identifying same helped in validation obtained associations. identified some putative candidate genes that might be beneficial breeding programs. To best our knowledge, this identifying helpful scientific community interested marker-assisted these

A Bayesian Graphical Model for Genome-wide Association Studies (GWAS)

The present paradigm to analyze GWAS is to perform an exhausting testing of all single SNP associations with the response variable with the major drawback that the selected subset of SNPs has in general a very low predictive value. As a shift to the usual approach, we propose here a general statistical framework for GWAS based on Bayesian graphical modeling and able to: 1) Assess the joint effe...

Genome-wide Association Study to Identify Genes and Biological Pathways Associated with Type Traits in Cattle using Pathway Analysis

Extended Abstract Introduction and Objective: Type traits describing the skeletal characteristics of an animal are moderately to strongly genetically correlate with other economically important traits in cattle including fertility, longevity and carcass traits. The present study aimed to conduct a genome wide association studies (GWAS) based on gene-set enrichment analysis for identifying the ...

Genome-wide association studies (GWAS) and their importance in asthma.

Asthma is a complex disease determined by the interaction of different genes and environmental factors. The first genetic investigations in asthma were candidate gene association studies and linkage studies. In recent years research has focused on association studies that scan the entire genome without any prior conditioning hypothesis: the so-called genome-wide association studies (GWAS). The ...

Unveiling the genetic loci for a panicle developmental trait using genome-wide association study in rice

Panicle size has a high correlation with grain yield in rice. There is a bottleneck to identify the additional quantitative trait loci (QTL) for panicle size due to the conventional traits used for QTL mapping. To identify more genetic loci for panicle size, a panicle developmental trait (LNTB, the length from panicle neck-knot to the first primary branch in the rachis) related to panicle size ...

Identification of Promising Mutants Associated with Egg Production Traits Revealed by Genome-Wide Association Study

Egg number (EN), egg laying rate (LR) and age at first egg (AFE) are important production traits related to egg production in poultry industry. To better understand the knowledge of genetic architecture of dynamic EN during the whole laying cycle and provide the precise positions of associated variants for EN, LR and AFE, laying records from 21 to 72 weeks of age were collected individually for...
